Started out the day with not much going right. Slept very little in my tent as coyotes pranced around it and animals from nearby farms made noise all through the night. Add to that some swollen glands in my neck from some bug I must've caught, and tired legs for some reason, and it was tough to get going. Legs spontaneously felt better around midday on the climb up through more mud and snow to Big Bald. Stayed awhile on top chatting with Tailwind and taking in the 360 degree view from the windswept grassy summit.
Full house at the shelter here with The Camera Crew, Nuffy, Sweet Cheeks, Willow, Castro, Georgia, Tinder, MC, Uncle Ben, and Tailwind. Everyone has plans to do some night hiking to get in to Erwin, TN early tomorrow—still thinking it over myself. Great crowd of hikers here.
