Decided to take it easy today after yesterday's longer day to ease Mom's blisters while I ducked into Montebello to get our 3-day resupply. Ended up running into Nails and Scarf getting a ride back up to the trail from Lois, owner of the Dutch Haus B&B in town. Lois was kind enough to bring me into the general store, bring me back to the Dutch Haus for a free lunch, and then drive me back to the trail to catch up with mom at the shelter.
Got the chance to air out our tents from last night's thunderstorm this afternoon, and I was so happy to see Burning Boots and J-Bird show up, followed shortly thereafter by Footloose, who I haven't seen since Damascus. Awesome to catch up with him and trade some more stories while I made a couple of Pepsi-can stoves. Really nice end to the day.
